Governor Adamu Bags Another Honourary Doctorate

The reward for hard work, it is said, is never far in coming. For Governor Adamu, the rewards then to pour in torrents. And over this weekend, Governor Adamu has once again bagged a honourary doctorate degree from the University of Port Harcourt.

The degree which was conferred on Governor Adamu at the 22 convocation ceremonies of the University of Port Harcourt was a further feather on the already loaded cap of Governor Adamu. He was honoured with the doctorate of Science degree in Public Administration for his outstanding achievements in the field of public service and governance.

The University orator mentioned the many achievements of the governor in lifting Nasarawa state from the shackles of underdevelopment to a state that has all the facilities of a modern state. The convocation was attended by the Minister of Education, Chinwe Obaji, who represented President Obasanjo and the Governors of Rivers and Kwara State.

The hall was thrown into a citadel of celebration when Governor Adamu was called to receive his degree. It was all dancing and joy in the occasion which was well attended by people from all walks of life.
