Governor Adamu commended the men of the Division for their role in restoring peace to the southern senatorial district which was enmeshed in crisis late last year. Aside from this, the men have also curtailed the activities of men of the underworld and bandits as well as exhibited a high sense of discipline. He therefore implored them to continue in their peace-keeping efforts.

Earlier the GOC, Major-General Joseph Owonubi intimated the Governor on the fact of his tour. He said it was essential for him to go round all the units of the command to familiarize himself with the forces. He said having been posted to the division just two weeks ago, it was necessary to complement the oral brief he had received with a physical assessment of the facilities at the disposal of his men. He thanked the government and people of Nasarawa state for the support given to the division and emphasized that peace and stability were an essential factor of a thriving democracy. He therefore pledged the loyalty of the men of the division to the present democratic administration.
