- Distinguish Guests, Ladies and Gentlemen.

I feel highly delighted to attend this memorable occasion of the official presentation of 3rd Class Staff of Office to one of our Royal Fathers Mr. Osula Inarigu the Osakyo of Assakio.

My coming to Assakio today marks a turning point in the history of the Local Government Area and the Osakyo Traditional Institution.

It was because of the importance this administration attaches to traditional institutions in the state that led to the creation of the three Chiefdoms in Lafia East Local Government on 3rd Class Status, one of which we are witnessing the installation ceremony today.

Distinguish guests, it will not be out of place to state here that our record of achievements permeate all boundaries, nooks and crannies of the state.

Here in Lafia East, you have your fair share, which include:

1). The creation of Lafia East Local Government Council.

2). Upgrading of three (3) traditional institutions to 3rd class status. Namely: Osakyo of Assakio, Sarkin Arikya and Oron Akhe.

3). Establishment of four Secondary Schools in the Local Government Area

4). Employment of 60 youths to reduce the unemployment rates in the state.

5). Creation of four (4) Districts

6). Sinking of Boreholes in each of the four Electoral Wards.

7). Electrification of Adogi.

8). Construction of Adogi, Arikya road.

9). Construction of Cottage Hospital at Ugah

10). Renovation of Primary Schools

11). Solar Electric positions in the State.

To ensure fair representation, two (2) of your illustrious Sons are appointed into key positions in the State.

Distinguish guests, I wish to express my profound gratitude to all supporters of our PDP Government, and to thank all of you who through tireless efforts feel we should be given mandate for the second tenure. I sincerely thank you.

At this juncture, I wish to crave your indulgence to give peace a chance as this Administration will not tolerate trouble markers. This administration is aware of the fracas which took place during the last PDP Local Government Primaries in Assakio. I wish to categorically disabuse the minds of those who think they can impede the developmental strides of this noble Government to give us their support instead.

Distinguished guests, this Government is people oriented government let us join hands to sustain it so as to enjoy the gains or dividends of democracy together.

It is in this regard that this administration feels the people should participate in their developmental process so that they can have a say. We have introduced community tax and created a Ministry for Community and Self-development Projects. This is to involve community participation and to ensure that those who are ready to help themselves are helped as government cannot do everything for you.

I wish to crave for your maximum support in the collection of taxes as this government shall be happy if Lafia East Local Government Area will have the highest collection at the end of the exercise.

The people of this area have demanded for a Local Government and Government deemed it necessary to create one for them in the name of Lafia East. It is left to you to put hands on deck to collectively develop the area. In the meantime, all Chairmen Transition Management Committees should adhere to the policy of staying within their Local Government Areas as the Chief Security Officers of the Local Governments. Similarly, our paramount rulers should be reminded that they requested for independence by demanding for the creation of chiefdoms which Government graciously granted. It is on this note that I strongly warn that all traditional rulers staying in chiefdoms other than their own should move immediately to remain with their subjects.

It is our sincere desire to complete all unfinished projects. We will explore all avenues to see that we raise Nasarawa State to greater heights.

I wish all of us journey mercies to our respective destinations and God bless.
