Giza Community Pay Courtesy Call On Governor Adamu

Governor Abdullahi Adamu has commended the people of Giza local government for the way they have restored peace to their communities. The Governor was speaking during a courtesy call on him by communities from the newly created Giza local government. He said he was delighted at the healthy mix of communities represented at the occasion and noted that it was a sign that peace had finally returned to the war-torn southern senatorial district.

[Image]Governor Adamu at the occasion asked all communities to learn to accommodate each other as that was the only way that the state could develop. He reiterated for the umpteenth time that there were no indigenes and non-indigenes in Nasarawa state and so all persons resident in the state should consider themselves as bonafide citizens. He promised that government will pursue policies that will make every resident secure to pursue their legitimate business without hindrance.

[Image]Speaking earlier, leader of the delegation and transitional committee chairman for Giza local government commended Governor Adamu for creating Giza local government. He said this was the realization of an old dream for the people. He promised that the communities in the local government will do everything to ensure the development of the area.

The delegation used the opportunity to assure the government of their loyalty and promised to support Governor Adamu in all his developmental strides. He called on him not to be deterred by the activities of detractors stating the people of the local government were resolved to support his re-election bid.

The Speaker of the House of Assembly and Commissioner for Culture and Tourism were amog top government officials who attended the courtesy call.
