In his response, Governor Adamu thanked all those who contributed to the organization of the ceremony saying that those who knew him know that he does not celebrate birthdays. However, since the times have changed, he had to change with the times. He urged all his supporters to remain steadfast and resolute in their determination to change Nigeria. He informed the audience that the Peoples Democratic Party on whose platform he was elected, and which any member would seek elective office was still undergoing reform and so members should not begin to jostle for office at this time. He said he said he was still focusing on his Nasarawa mandate and would not want to be distracted.
