Nasarawa House of Assembly Supports Governor Adamu's Re-election Bid

[Image]The entire members of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly have unanimously offered their support to the re-election bid of Governor Adamu. This unanimous decision was conveyed to Governor Adamu today at the premises of the House when the members presented Governor Adamu with various campaign materials.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony, the Speaker of the House, the Rt. Honourable Alhaji Musa Agyo said that the occasion was a culmination of the cordial relationship that exists between all arms of the government in Nasarawa. He said the House of Assembly has been watching with keen interest, the transformation of the state from a rural to a modern one by Governor Adamu.

[Image]The Speaker listed some of the project areas where Governor Adamu has excelled as being the construction of roads, upgrading of health institutions, agricultural mechanization and education. He said judging by the achievements of Governor Adamu, it was incumbent on all members of the House not only to support, but also to contribute to his re-election bid. It was in this light that the entire members of the house were contributing 1 (one) bus; 2 (two) motorcycles and 300 (three hundred) bicycles to the campaign machinery of Governor Adamu.

[Image]Responding to the donation, Governor Adamu said he was overwhelmed by the support and show of solidarity of the members of the House. He said it was this kind of cooperative governance that had endeared the House to all Nigerians. Governor Adamu said by their action, they were not only contributing to his re-election, but to the sustenance of democracy in Nigeria. He thanked them for their support during the last three and a half years of democracy and wished that all of them would be returned by their constituencies after next year’s elections.

Members of the House of Assembly, senior government officials and members of the Abdullahi Adamu campaign team were in attendance at the ceremony.
