In Zing, Governor Adamu Urges Political Tolerance

Governor Adamu has urged Nigerians to be tolerant of other peoples political views. He was speaking at the launching of a 500 million Naira Educational appeal fund by the Mumuye people of Taraba state at the weekend.

In a speech at the occasion, Governor Adamu stated that Nigerian democracy was a pluralistic one as a result of which many political opinions were expected. He therefore said politicians should learn to tolerate each other so that informed discussions on issues will be undertaking.

The Governor who was a guest of the Taraba Governor at the ceremony was also joined at the launching by Vice-President Atiku Abubakar, Governor Boni Haruna of Adamawa state and the Deputy of Governor of Benue state.

Governor Adamu told the gathering that this was his first visit to Zing and felt honoured to be invited to the governor's home town for the ceremony. He urged the people to take education seriously as it was the guiding light of development. He therefore donated the sum of N10 million towards the educational endowment.
