Barrister Joel Aninge, Odyong Nyankpa Installed as 2nd Class Chief

[Image]Governor Abdullahi Adamu of Nasarawa state has restated his administrations commitment to doggedly transform the fortunes of the long-suffering masses of Nasarawa state. He made this assertion while performing the official installation and presentation of staff of office to Barrister Joel Aninge as the Odyong Nyankpa, a second class chief in Panda Local Government Area. Governor Adamu stated that the task of redeeming the people is a tall challenge which his administration is confronting with the utmost sense of responsibility. He called on all citizens of Nasarawa state to join hands with his team in uplifting the standard of living of the people stating, “through our collective efforts and by the grace of God, we shall prevail to establish Nasarawa as a great and noble state that will be the envy of many and an inspiration to the world.

[Image]Using the opportunity of the large gathering at the ceremony, Governor Adamu appealed to the Nyankpa people and all the communities in Panda local area to strive to be at peace with one another and with neighbouring communities. He commended the Nyankpa people for the support they have continued to render to the government in the last three and a half years, stating that this was a source of encouragement to him. He therefore urged the newly upgraded chief to seek to collate the energies of his people for the corporate benefit of all.

Speaking earlier, the Transitional Committee Chairman for Panda, Hon. Daniel Aparshe, expressed the gratitude of the people of Panda for the numerous advantages they have enjoyed under the governance of Governor Adamu. He promised that the people would continue to be grateful to the Governor for all he had done for them. 

Barrister Aninge was born on March 12, 1958 and was until his appointment as the Odyong Nyankpa in 2000, the Clerk of the Nasarawa state house of assembly. Many dignitaries including the Minister of State, Federal Ministry of Justice, Musa Elayo and the state deputy governor, Prof. Onje Gye-wado attended the ceremony.
