The ceremony, which was conducted at the media results center of the INEC in Abuja, was attended by most of the Governors who came in to collect their authentic certificate of election. With the presentation of the certificates, they have now been officially and formally returned as winners in the elections.

Making the presentation at the crowded hall, the National Chairman of the Commission, Abel Gbubadia congratulated the Governors-elect as he wished them well in the conduct of state affairs in the various states. He presented the certificates to the governors individually after being called forward by the chaperon of the ceremony.

The Deputy-Governor elect of Nasarawa state, Labaran Maku, Peoples Democratic Party Chairman, Umaru Mohammed, Secretary of the State Government, Elias Adokwe and other party big wigs were part of the delegation that accompanied Governor Adamu to the ceremony.
