[Image]Governor Abdullahi Adamu has urged the members of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly to rise up to the challenge of legislative support to ensure improved performance in second tenure. He made this remake while inaugurating the 2nd session of the parliament in Lafia.

The Second session of the assembly, which was convened last Friday, was formally addressed by the Governor in a ceremony witnessed by members of the government and politicians. In the short address to the parliamentarians, Governor Adamu extolled the leadership of the 1st legislative session and urged the new session to work harmoniously with the executive to bring about progress in the state.[Image]

Governor Adamu said the administration will focus on the consolidation of our developmental initiatives in the areas of rural development, agriculture, co-operative ventures, education and healthcare delivery, which will become the main planks for action by this administration in the next four years. He therefore urged the parliamentarians to support him in this endeavour.

The Assembly is the legislative arm the Nasarawa state government.
