Governor Adamu Receives Yet Another Award

[Image]The authorities of the Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa has added another feather to the loaded cap of Governor Adamu when they conferred on him the prestigious award of Honarary Fellow of the Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa (FFPN).

The award was made today at a well attended convocation ceremony of the institution in which more than five thousand students of the institution received their higher national diplomas, national diplomas and certificates in various disciplines.

[Image]Governor Adamu was one of 4 prominent Nigerians who were honoured with the prestigious fellowship awards by the polytechnic. Others included Vice-President Atiku Abubakar; Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Ufot Ekaette and the Emir of Nasarawa, Ibrahim Ramalan Abubakar.

In a speech at the occasion, Governor Adamu extolled the contributions of the polytechnic in the manpower development of Nasarawa state and the country at large. He said the polytechnic through its 20-year history, has fulfilled the vision and aspirations of its founding fathers. He urged the management of the institution to uphold these virtues and lay a solid foundation for generations to come.[Image]

At an endowment fund launched later, Governor Adamu donated the sum of N10million for the study of solid minerals development.

The State deputy governor, Labaran Maku, Speaker of the house of assembly and other important national and international dignitaries attended the convocation ceremony.
