Keffi Emir Calls On Governor Adamu

The Emir of Keffi, Alhaji Mohammed Chindo Yamusa has extolled the leadership virtues of Governor Adam, comparing him with the Alhaji Ahmadu Bello, the late Saraudana of Sokoto. The emir made the comments while paying a courtesy call on Governor Adamu to thank him for the recent National Honour, which was bestowed on him by President Obasanjo.

The emir used the occasion to chronicle Governor Adamu’s contributions to the stability of democracy in Nigeria, stating that it was for the reason that he was elected chairman of the Northern Governors, chairman of PDP Governors and also Chairman of the Nigeria Governor’s forum. He said Governor Adamu was a pride to the people of Keffi because he has put them on the global map. We urged him to continue to show equity to all manner of people irrespective of differences.

Responding, Governor Adamu said he was delighted with the visit and said the whole state was proud of the achievements of the Emir. He informed the large crowd that President Obasanjo was to be thanked for recognizing the achievements of the emir, which led to his been given a national honour. He urged the emir to continue to avail the government with his wealth of wisdom.
