Governor Adamu Felicitates With Minister Akwanga

Governor Abdullahi Adamu has paid a courtesy call on the Honourable Minister for Labour and Productivity, Alhaji Husseini Zanwa Akwanga, over his appointment as a Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

During the courtesy call, Governor Adamu informed the Minister that he brought to him the full compliments and congratulations of the government and people of Nasarawa state. He said Alhaji Akwanga had a track record of service to the people of Nigeria and he was sure the minister would represent the interest of the people of the state in the federal executive council. He urged him to show full loyalty to the government of President Obasanjo in all his actions.

Governor Adamu urged him to remember that the whole country was his constituency, as such, all his actions should reflect the fact that he was a national leader. He urged him to ensure that he always linked up with the state in times of difficulty and to always consult the government of Nasarawa state if he needed to be advised.

Responding, Alhaji Akwanga said he was delighted at the Governor’s visit, which was an indication of his love for the citizens of the state. He pledged to always promote the interest of Nasarawa state in all his actions and in discussions at the federal executive council. He said as Minister he will present areas of cooperation between the federal and state governments soon so that they will jointly decide in which areas the two governments can cooperate.
