President Obasanjo Condoles Governor Adamu

[Image]President Olusegun Obasanjo has condoled Governor Adamu and his family over the demise of his mother. Represented by the Federal Minister for the Federal Capital Territory, Engr. Abba-Gana, President Obasanjo asked Governor Adamu to be consoled that his mother lived a fulfilled life. In a letter delivered by his representative, President Obasanjo said that Hajiya Madaki was a great women whose siblings have become icons in the nations history.

[Image]President Obasanjo also stated that the pain of death could only be assuaged in the knowledge that it was only God who had the ability to give and take life. He said Governor Adamu should take spiritual console in the fact that God who has exalted his mother to greater heights knew best why he had to do it at this time. He said Governor Adamu had always been the strength to others in times like this, and therefore urged him to fall back on this reserve strength on this occasion to be strong.

[Image]In the President’s delegation were Alhaji Umaru Dikko and other top Government officials.

In the same vein, many sympathizers have continued to stream into the country home of Governor Adamu at Keffi to condole him on the loss of his mother. Delegations from all parts of the state and country have continue to be source of strength to governor Adamu as he mourns the death of his mother. The 7-day prayer for the departed will hold on Saturday, December 28, 2002.
